I was looking at philip j bond’s flickr stream. he’s a frequent collaborator of grant morrison. he usually posts some excellent art there, from his work as a comic book artist as well as some personal stuff. this drawing is from the 2004 comic Vimanarama, and I couldn’t help but think about the guatemala sink hole, from 2007 earthquake over there.

A fluid plan, seemingly random, on an empty lot in a suburb, materialised in soft plywood. Trails through the empty lot made by the neighbooring residents, maybe some children playing, physical memories, are the source of this work. superfortress ruins
a british photographer on flickr took this series of pictures of an old crashed B29. that must’ve been quite a large accident. what strikes me most is how some of its structures are still visible while on other parts it’s as if the crashed aircraft had been slowly becoming its own landscape - part man-made, part organic, part something else entirely.
