wakiiii's flickr stream
I just removed all of wakiiii’s pictures I had posted here (kurokawa’s nakagin capsule, sejima’s domino houses, and a john pawson japanese project), as he asked.
He doesn’t want people posting his pictures anymore. So I’ll just recommend his flickr stream a lot. Go see it. It’s that great.
I just found out the shinkenchiku channel on youtube. Here’s a video they made of sou fujimoto’s ‘house NA’, which I posted here before. What struck me in this video is that all this transparency and fragmentation makes for actually very little freedom of movement, as we see in the final portion of the video. This is not a very liberating house, but actually a restraining house, as I suspect most of fujimoto’s designs are. Nevertheless, it is a beautiful object.
